Reload Your Fare Card

In the coming months, METRO will roll out the RideMETRO Fare System. As part of the changes, the METRO Q® Fare Card and Day Pass will gradually be discontinued. In the meantime, there are various locations where you can add cash value to your registered or unregistered METRO Q® Fare Card or METRO Day Pass:

  • All METRO RideStores
  • Participating retailers
  • Select vending machines at rail platforms and various METRO facilities
  • Reload machine near rear exit of all local buses

You can also reload your fare card online using a credit, debit or transit benefits card. Find information on how to do that below.

Get Started

When you reload a registered METRO Q® Fare Card online, you can enable autoload. This allows you to set a schedule for how often and how much cash value is automatically added to your card. Registering your card also protects its account balance if the card gets lost. To register a card for free, visit any METRO RideStore location or contact Customer Service at 713-635-4000.
