However, one potential exception to disclosure is contained in §552.136 and §552.137 of the Texas Government Code, both of which state that an "e-mail address of a member of the public that is provided for the purpose of communicating electronically with a governmental body is confidential and not subject to disclosure ... [unless] the member of the public affirmatively consents to its release." Please note that using the METRO's web site or any other communications with METRO online shall constitute affirmative consent to release your e-mail address.
