For your convenience, the METRO RideStore at 1900 Main Street will extend its hours on the following dates:

8 a.m. - 6 p.m.
August 14 - 18 and 21 – 25

9 a.m. - 2 p.m.
August 19 and 26

Documents required for College Students:
• Government-issued ID
• Class Schedule and fee receipt or letter verifying you are a full-time student on school letterhead

Documents required for K-12 Students:
• Show one of the following a current student ID, enrollment form, or report card

Here you can pick up a new METRO Q® Fare Card, add money to your Q Card, check your balance, report stolen or lost cards and transfer the balance to a new Q Card if your old one was registered, and apply for discounted Q Cards, such as student or senior cards.


At 1900 Main St., you can do the following:

  • Replace lost, stolen and non-working METRO fare cards
  • Convert full-fare METRO fare card to discount fare card – students, seniors, disabled patrons and Medicare cardholders
  • Replace non-working METRO Money
  • Conduct Web reloads
  • Recover funds
  • Fix incorrect change
  • Fix incorrect charge to credit/debit cards
  • Fix incorrect fare deduction
  • Correct trip count or loss of free trip
  • Obtain a METRO Q® Fare Card
  • Obtain and reload a Day Pass
  • Reload your METRO Q® Fare Card
  • Obtain a discounted fare card - available to students, seniors, disabled patrons and Medicare cardholders
  • Convert your full-fare METRO Q® Card with no balance to a discount card for students, seniors, disabled patrons and Medicare cardholders, if eligible
  • Extend the eligibility of your student fare card
  • Visit Lost & Found


1001 Travis St. (automated)

Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

This is a self-service, automated information station with ticket vending machines and schedules of our routes.

At 1001 Travis St., you can:

  • Buy a single rail ticket
  • Load your Q Card using credit or cash
  • Pick up schedules of our routes
  • Use a public phone that directly dials the Customer Care Center at 713-635-4000
