Get Connected with METRO Police. MPD Connect gives you the power to report suspicious activity and other unexpected incidents across the METRO transit system using your smartphone.
Someone acting suspicious? Experience an accident on the system? Witness a crime in progress? MPD Connect lets you submit a report directly to METRO Police. You can even chat LIVE - all from the palm of your hand.
Android users launch Chrome and open MPD Connect. Tap the Menu button, then tap Add to Home Screen, and Chrome will add MPD Connect to your home screen.
You have the option of renaming the shortcut before adding it to your home screen.
When you tap on the icon, Chrome for Android loads the website as a "web app," so it will receive its own entry in the app switcher - blocking the browser interface from getting in the way.
Other popular Android browsers offer the same feature. For example, to perform this task using Firefox for Android, tap the Menu button, next tap the Page option, then tap Add to Home Screen.
iPhone, iPad, & iPod Touch
Apple iOS users launch Safari and navigate to MPD Connect. Tap the Share button on the browser's tool bar. - that's the rectangle with an arrow pointing upward.
Browser tool bar is located:
iPad - Top of screen.
iPhone/iPod Touch - Bottom of screen.
Tap Add to Home Screen icon in the Share menu.
You will be prompted to name the shortcut before tapping Add and placing it on your home screen. The shortcut can be dragged around and placed anywhere, including in app folders - just like a normal app icon.
NOTE: To create an app folder on iOS just touch-and-drag the app icon onto another app's icon and hold there momentarily. A folder will instantly be created and both icons will be placed in that folder.
By tapping the icon, it will load the website into a normal tab inside of the Safari browser. Other browsers, like Chrome for iOS, don't offer this feature. Due to limitations in the Apple iOS, only the Apple Safari browser is allowed to perform this action.
