According to the 2012 edition of the American Automobile Association's (AAA) Your Driving Costs, the average annual cost to drive a passenger vehicle
(Sedan) is 59.6 cents a mile or $8,946 for 15,000 miles. Fuel costs were based
on $3.357 per gallon, the late-2011 U.S. price from AAA's Fuel Gauge Report.
